Mariangeles Soto-Diaz
Mariángeles Soto-Díaz [US/VE] began her art and judo studies in her native Venezuela, the once-promising abstraction and oil-producing nation that has become one of the most corrupt, violent and polarized countries in the world. Recent projects have been presented at the Orange County Museum of Art, CA, and the SUR:Biennial. When not in lockdown, she has been training at Bunasawa’s Dojo in Costa Mesa (Orange County, CA) and at Kodokan (Tokyo, JP). Special note of thanks to Bunasawa’s Dojo for the used mats and to all my Sensei and judo colleagues.
