Twins and Pies

“Twins and Pies” is a video inspired by the life and work of popular American writer Ayn Rand. Born in Russia in 1905, Rand had lived through the Bolshevik revolution, the Russian Civil War and the War Communism before emigrating to the US, where she became a famous proponent of laissez-faire capitalism and libertarianism.

The film presents an unfamiliar image of Rand as a mirrored reflection of her twin sister Emilia, who had remained in the USSR and became a writer of didactic stories for young children.
